To activate this way to win, start by filling out the registration form below using the email address linked to your BIXI account. (If you haven’t already, create your BIXI account.)

2. Ride to get more entries!
As the name of this way to win suggests, to get more entries, you have to… ride!
Get a seasonal membership, a monthly membership, or a one-way pass, scan the bike of your choice, and take a ride!
To determine the amount to be added by Wealthsimple to the Grand Prize, all rides will be counted. However, to ensure your rides are properly credited and count as entries in the draw, it’s very important to have a BIXI account and to have completed your registration (Step 1).
If you don’t have a BIXI account or if you use a credit card different from the one linked to your account when purchasing one-way passes at a station terminal, we won’t be able to attribute those rides to you.

That being said, this FAQ is intended as a summary of the Official Contest Rules. Please feel free to consult them for full details. In the event of any discrepancy between this FAQ and the Official Contest Rules, the Official Contest Rules shall prevail.
To be eligible for the draw, you must meet all of the following requirements at the time of entry and at the time the prize is awarded:
- Have completed the registration process
- Hold an active and current BIXI Montréal account
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
- Have your legal residence in Canada
- Be 18 years of age or older, or have reached the age of majority in your province or territory of residence.
The following are excluded from the draw:
- Employees of BIXI
- Employees of Wealthsimple
- Employees of subsidiaries and affiliated entities, branches, and suppliers engaged in promoting the contest
- Members of their immediate families, as well as anyone living in their household

Create your BIXI account, then fill out the registration form, accept the rules and confirm your registration by clicking on the link received by email. You will receive an entry once your registration is confirmed.

1 BIXI ride = 1 entry = 1 chance to win
To increase your chances, just ride BIXI more often! Choose active transportation to get to work, to school, to see friends, to run errands—in short, to go wherever you want. Every time you leave the house is a chance to increase your odds of winning!
There is no limit to the number of entries per person: each additional eligible ride generates an extra entry!
All trips are eligible and qualify for entry, except:
- Trips that were canceled or not completed, particularly when the bike was not returned within the time limits specified in the BIXI Terms of Use
- Trips taken before May 1, 2026, the start date of the Eligibility Period
- Trips obtained fraudulently or in violation of the BIXI Terms of Use
Otherwise, every trip counts!
Yes! Eligible trips you’ve taken starting May 1, 2026, will automatically be converted into entries once you register for the contest.
You can view your total number of entries in the AMI BIXI section at the bottom of the BIXI newsletter, which is sent out approximately every 2 weeks.
EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
For every 100 rides taken by all BUXU users (whether registered or not) between May 1 and October 31, 2026, Wealthsimple will contribute 1 Canadian dollar to the fund.
Here’s what that means in practice: If, on a beautiful day in June, BIXI riders across the province take 70,000 rides, Wealthsimple will add $700 to the prize pool. And if the next day they take 85,000 rides, Wealthsimple will add $850 to the prize pool. And if the day after that… you get the idea.

*Please note that the amount shown in the fund is for illustrative purposes only. The final amount will be calculated at the end of the period. The minimum amount that can be won is 100,000 Canadian dollars. The maximum amount is 150,000 Canadian dollars.
The total amount in the prize pool will be drawn on November 2, 2026.
Only one person will be selected as the winner and will receive the AMI BIXI Grand Prize, powered by Wealthsimple. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
BEWARE OF SCAMS We will contact the winner within a few business days of November 2 via email at the address listed in their BIXI account. They will have 7 days to respond and follow the steps outlined. We will not contact you via Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media platform. We will not ask you to click on a link or provide an online payment method (PayPal, credit card, etc.) or share a password.
Yes, the prize will be deposited into a Wealthsimple account. If the winner does not have a Wealthsimple account at the time they are declared the winner, they must open one within 30 days.
Failure to do so will result in the prize being forfeited, and a new drawing will be held.
