DOWNLOAD THE APP

With the BIXI app, you can rent a bike, see bike availability, see all station locations, plan your trips and more! 

STEP 2

CONNECT TO YOUR PROFILE

To rent a bike, you must purchase an access to the BIXI system by selecting the wanted product.

If you are already a member, you can sign in to your account directly.

STEP 3

CREATE YOUR PROFILE

If you don’t have an account, you must create one and have a valid credit card at all times. You are recognized with the credit card associated with the account. A temporary $100 hold per bike will be placed on your card account.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Read and accept the terms and conditions. For members, additionnal fees are billed on the 20th day of the month.

STEP 4

LOCATE THE STATION

Tap the closest station to you on the system map.

STEP 5

GET AN UNLOCKING CODE

Tap the « Unlock a bike » button, this will generate an unlocking code. 

STEP 6

UNLOCK A BIKE

Enter the 5-digit ride code on the dock’s keypad. 

STEP7

RIDE

When you see the green light turn on, pull the handlebars firmly toward you to release the bike.

Adjust the seat height, put your bag in the basket and ride!

Please respect the Highway Safety code at all times.

STEP 8

RETURN

Return the bike to any of the 600 BIXI stations. Push the front wheel firmly into an empty bike dock.

IMPORTANT: Make sure the green light comes on after docking the bike.

NEW UNLOCKING CODE

You must request a new unlocking code for each trip. Select the closest station to you on the system map, press «Unlock bike», and the app will generate a new unlocking code. No additional usage fees will be charged to your card if you retrurn the bike within 30 minutes (for short-term passes) and 45 minutes (for members).
