The RIDE Contest (the \u201cContest<\/strong>\u201d) offers eligible BIXI Montr\u00e9al account holders the chance to win a prize pool provided by Wealthsimple with a maximum value of $150,000, subject to and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in these official contest rules (the \u201cRules<\/strong>\u201d). <\/p>\n NO PURCHASE REQUIRED. THE CONTEST SHALL TAKE PLACE SOLELY IN THE PROVINCE OF QU\u00c9BEC AND SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE LAWS. VOID IN WHOLE OR IN PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, PARTICIPANTS CONFIRM HAVING READ, UNDERSTOOD AND ACCEPTED THESE RULES. <\/p>\n 1. ORGANIZER AND PRIZE PROVIDER <\/strong><\/p>\n 1.1<\/strong> The Contest is organized and administered by BIXI Montr\u00e9al<\/strong>, headquartered at 5945 avenue de\u202fGasp\u00e9, Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec H2S 2X4 (the \u201cOrganizer<\/strong>\u201d or \u201cBIXI Montr\u00e9al<\/strong>\u201d). <\/p>\n 1.2<\/strong> The prize is provided by Wealthsimple Technologies Inc.<\/strong>, a money-services business headquartered at 400-80 Spadina Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M5V 2J4, and its affiliated entities (collectively, \u201cWealthsimple<\/strong>\u201d or the \u201cPrize Provider<\/strong>\u201d). <\/p>\n 2. ELIGIBILITY <\/strong><\/p>\n 2.1<\/strong> The Contest runs from May\u202f1, 2026 at 12:00\u202fa.m. (EDT) to October\u202f31, 2026 at 11:59\u202fp.m. (EDT) (the \u201cEligibility Period<\/strong>\u201d). <\/p>\n 2.2<\/strong> To be eligible to enter this Contest, you must: 2.3<\/strong> Co-members sharing a single BIXI account are eligible to enter the Contest under the same conditions as other entrants if each has their own active BIXI Montr\u00e9al profile under an account in good standing as defined in Section\u202f2.2(a). Each co-member is treated individually: their trips are assigned to them personally and generate entries in their name. <\/p>\n 2.4<\/strong> The following are not eligible to enter the Contest: (a) employees, officers, and directors of BIXI Montr\u00e9al and their co-members, and employees, officers, and directors of Wealthsimple, including their parent companies, subsidiaries, and related entities, as well as advertising and promotional agencies, including independent contractors, promoting the Contest; (b) the immediate family members of those listed in (a), namely their spouses, their direct ascendants and descendants and those of their spouses, their siblings, and any person residing at the same address. <\/p>\n 2.5<\/strong> Entering the Contest is free. No purchase is required beyond your usual BIXI membership or payment method.<\/p>\n 2.6<\/strong> Wealthsimple and BIXI Montr\u00e9al may request proof of identity or eligibility at any time. If you refuse to provide such proof, you may be disqualified. All information provided for the purposes of the Contest must be truthful, complete, and accurate. BIXI Montr\u00e9al and Wealthsimple reserve the right to disqualify anyone who provides inaccurate or misleading information. <\/p>\n 3. ENTRY AND PARTICIPATION <\/strong><\/p>\n 3.1 Mandatory Registration.<\/strong> To enter the Contest, you must (a) fill out the registration form available on the BIXI Montr\u00e9al website (bixi.com<\/a>) using the email address associated with your account, and (b) validate your registration by clicking the confirmation link sent to the email address you provide. <\/p>\n 3.2 Base Entry.<\/strong> Any eligible person who completes the registration will automatically receive one (1) Contest entry.<\/p>\n 3.3 Additional Entries.<\/strong> In addition to the base entry, each BIXI trip that is properly completed and recorded in the BIXI Montr\u00e9al system during the Eligibility Period entitles you to one (1) additional Contest entry. Trips completed before your registration date will be counted retroactively. A trip is considered eligible when both the bike\u2019s rental and return have been confirmed in the BIXI Montr\u00e9al system, in accordance with the current BIXI Terms and Conditions. <\/p>\n 3.4<\/strong> The following are excluded from the entry counts: (a) cancelled or incomplete trips, including when the bike is not returned within the time limits set out in the BIXI Montr\u00e9al Terms and Conditions; (b) trips completed outside the Eligibility Period; (c) trips obtained fraudulently or in violation of the BIXI Montr\u00e9al Terms and Conditions. <\/p>\n 3.5<\/strong> BIXI Montr\u00e9al reserves the right to verify the accuracy of any entry count and to determine the final number of entries awarded to each entrant. BIXI Montr\u00e9al\u2019s decisions regarding entry counts are final and binding. <\/p>\n 4. PRIZE <\/strong><\/p>\n 4.1<\/strong> For every one hundred (100) cumulative trips recorded across the entire BIXI Montr\u00e9al network during the Eligibility Period, Wealthsimple will contribute one dollar ($1.00) to a cumulative prize pool (the \u201cPrize Pool<\/strong>\u201d). The Contest winner will receive the full value of the Prize Pool, paid into a Wealthsimple account in their name (the \u201cPrize<\/strong>\u201d). <\/p>\n 4.2<\/strong> The maximum value of the Prize Pool is $150,000.00, which is equivalent to 15,000,000 cumulative trips. The trip count is cumulative and continuous throughout the Eligibility Period. For reference, during the period from May\u202f1 to October\u202f31, 2025, 12,447,874\u202ftrips were recorded, which would have corresponded to a Prize Pool of $124,479.00. <\/p>\n 4.3<\/strong> The value of the Prize Pool is displayed on the BIXI Montr\u00e9al website for informational purposes only. The displayed value may not reflect the exact real-time amount. The final value of the Prize Pool will be determined at the end of the Eligibility Period and will constitute the actual value of the Prize. Your odds of winning will vary as the total number of eligible entries recorded increases during the Eligibility Period. A personalized section in the BIXI Montr\u00e9al newsletter will show each entrant the number of entries collected in their name, as well as the current value of the Prize Pool.<\/p>\n 5. SELECTION OF THE WINNER <\/strong><\/p>\n 5.1<\/strong> The winner will be selected by a supervised electronic random draw on or around November\u202f2, 2026, in the presence of an independent witness or designated representative, from among all eligible entries received during the Eligibility Period. <\/p>\n 5.2<\/strong> Within 2 business days of the draw date, BIXI Montr\u00e9al will contact the selected winner at the email address associated with their BIXI account. The selected winner must acknowledge receipt of the notification and complete all required steps to receive the Prize, including filling out a declaration and release form. <\/p>\n 5.3<\/strong> To be declared the winner, the selected winner must have complied with these Rules and, within 7 business days following notification of the Prize: (a) provide a valid government-issued ID for the purpose of verifying their eligibility; (b) correctly answer, without mechanical or other assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question; and (c) complete the declaration and release form upon request. <\/p>\n 5.4<\/strong> If the selected winner fails to acknowledge receipt within 7 business days following notification of the Prize, refuses to submit to identity verification, or fails the mathematical skill-testing question, they will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize. A new draw will be conducted using the same procedure until an eligible winner is confirmed. <\/p>\n 5.5<\/strong> Wealthsimple may, independently and to the extent required by law, conduct its own verification checks in connection with the awarding of the Prize. Such steps are the sole responsibility of Wealthsimple and are separate from the process outlined here. <\/p>\n 6. PRIZE AWARD <\/strong><\/p>\n 6.1<\/strong> To be eligible to receive the Prize, the selected winner must, at the time of the award: (a) hold an active Wealthsimple account in good standing in their name, or open one within 30\u202fdays following notification of the Prize; and (b) provide the email address associated with that Wealthsimple account. <\/p>\n 6.2<\/strong> If the selected winner does not have a Wealthsimple account or does not open one within the aforementioned 30-day period, they will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize, and a new draw may be conducted at the Organizer\u2019s discretion. <\/p>\n 6.3<\/strong> Holding a Wealthsimple account is required to claim the Prize. Opening an account may involve, among other things: (a) the collection of personal information by Wealthsimple (such as your name, address, and financial information) in accordance with its privacy policy; (b) verifications conducted in accordance with Wealthsimple\u2019s legal obligations, including those under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and applicable financial sector legislation. These verifications are the sole responsibility of Wealthsimple. If the selected winner does not meet Wealthsimple\u2019s account opening criteria, a new winner will be selected. Terms and conditions for the Wealthsimple account are available at: https:\/\/help.wealthsimple.com\/hc\/en-ca\/articles\/360062610653-Open-an-individual-or-joint-chequing-account<\/a>. <\/p>\n 6.4<\/strong> Once the Prize has been deposited into their Wealthsimple account, the winner may use the funds as they see fit, subject to the terms and conditions for the relevant Wealthsimple account. <\/p>\n 6.5<\/strong> The Prize is non-exchangeable. It is non-transferable and has no cash value before being depositedinto the designated Wealthsimple account and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. <\/p>\n 6.6<\/strong> The winner is responsible for all fees, taxes, and costs associated with claiming and using the Prize, including, but not limited to, any tax liability arising from receipt of the Prize. The winner will not be required to pay any fees for opening or using the Wealthsimple account required to receive the Prize. <\/p>\n 6.7<\/strong> Wealthsimple reserves the right, for any reason and at its sole discretion, to modify the Prize or replace it with another of equal or greater value. <\/p>\n 7. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION <\/strong><\/p>\n 7.1<\/strong> By entering the Contest, you agree and consent to BIXI Montr\u00e9al collecting, using and disclosing your personal information, specifically your name, email address, government-issued ID (e.g., driver\u2019s licence, passport), BIXI trips and any other personal information required by BIXI Montr\u00e9al under these Rules, in accordance with this section. You also agree that the provisions of this section apply in addition to any other BIXI Montr\u00e9al Privacy Policy concerning the use of the BIXI Montr\u00e9al website (bixi.com) (the \u201cSite<\/strong>\u201d), the BIXI Montr\u00e9al mobile app or its services. <\/p>\n 7.2<\/strong> BIXI Montr\u00e9al will use your personal information solely for the following purposes: (a) activating your registration in the Contest; (b) counting your eligible BIXI trips; (c) verifying your identity and Contest eligibility; (d) administering the Contest; (e) awarding you the Prize (if applicable); (f) sending you newsletters, if you have consented to receiving them; and (g) any other purpose identified by BIXI Montr\u00e9al that is authorized by law or for which it has obtained your consent. BIXI Montr\u00e9al will also use the winner\u2019s personal information, specifically their name, city of residence and any statements about the Contest, for advertising purposes as mentioned above. <\/p>\n 7.3<\/strong> Your personal information will be disclosed to Wealthsimple, to BIXI Montr\u00e9al employees whose duties require it, and to BIXI Montr\u00e9al\u2019s service providers (e.g., hosting service providers) only to the extent necessary for the purposes set out herein. Such information may also be disclosed by BIXI Montr\u00e9al in compliance with a law or a court order. <\/p>\n
\n(a) hold an active BIXI Montr\u00e9al account in good standing, meaning an account that is neither suspended nor terminated and for which a valid payment method has been added; (b) be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident; (c) reside in Canada; (d) have reached the legal age of majority in the province or territory where you live; (e) satisfy the entry requirements set out in these Rules.<\/p>\n
