Meeting up with friends or family for a picnic in one of Montreal’s many parks is one of the city’s most charming experiences. People are smiling, happy and feeling good. In August, BIXI and Rachelle Béry  are getting in on the party: they’re inviting us to a special picnic in the park. Load up the picnic basket and off we go. Everyone to the park!

Free Big BIXI Picnic presented by Rachelle Béry

On Sunday, August 25, La Fontaine Park is the location for this free big picnic orchestrated by Rachelle Béry. On the menu: hot dogs (Gusta sausages and Inewa bread), organic corn, So Delicious ice cream and other surprises.

Also, this event will be encouraging the zero waste movement with compostable plates and utensils.

Bring your friends and meet us at the intersection of Rachel Street and Brebeuf Street starting at 11 a.m on August 25th.

Plus, BIXI bikes will be free all day long for any trip of 30 minutes or less.

Explore Montreal’s parks

For many years, BIXI stations have been located around Montreal’s big parks, like La Fontaine Park, Laurier Park, Jarry Park, Maisonneuve Park and Angrignon Park, to name a few. This year, with stations added in new neighbourhoods, you can now take a BIXI to the Promenade Bellerive in Tétreauville, to Daniel-Johnson Park in Pointe-aux-Trembles, to Félix-Leclerc Park in Anjou and to Marcel-Laurin Park in Ville Saint-Laurent. (Re)Discover these places, now accessible with a BIXI!
