To celebrate its 10th edition, the Chromatic festival is taking over Usine C, an emblematic centre for artistic creation and distribution in Montreal, from May 10 to 17. On the programme: imagination, surprise and emotion with a multitude of exhibitions, conferences, screenings, concerts, performances and surprising and varied educational activities!
Thanks to the Chromatic x BIXI partnership, enjoy 24 hours of free use with the purchase of a ticket (the information will be on your e-ticket!); in addition, Beaudry metro station is closed for work so no hesitation: park your BIXI near Usine C at Montcalm / Ontario or Plessis / Ontario station and come celebrate this 10th edition!
For this occasion, no fewer than 40 activities will be offered along with the exhibitions, which are the central element of the Chromatic festival. For a whole week, some fifty local, national and international artists will present their work in various exhibitions commissioned by or for the festival. Whether they work with so-called “classical” media such as photography, painting and sculpture, or they approach their work through digital devices, the artists presented amaze, question and never cease to surprise the public. Conferences, talks and workshops will be scheduled every day, with for the first time this year a whole morning of content dedicated to students.
Music will be spotlighted during this 10th edition with the Opening and Closing Nights on May 10 and 17, which will celebrate the Festival in style (and in rhythm!). For the less nocturnal, a new day format event will take place on Saturday, May 11: the Warm-up, which will be filled with music, sun and chilling. On May 14, 15 and 16, the Chromatic Terrace will be open to enjoy the exhibitions while listening to the best Montreal DJs in the Usine C garden - perfect to enjoy the return of milder weather!
Finally, families will not be left out with the educational and recreational activities by Chromatic Kids on Sunday, May 12 to celebrate Mother’s Day with creativity!
